I have watched ALIENS countless times over the years as it is my favorite movie. Imagine my surprise when I caught something that I had never noticed before during my upteenth viewing.
Spoiler warning if you haven’t yet seen this 38-year-old film.
Right after the APC crash Hicks calls Farro for an immediate dustoff. Spunkmeyer comes running up the ramp and puts his hand into some Alien goo, then shuts the ramp. It is assumed he is killed/subdued by a xenomorph and soon after so is Farro.
But where is Bishop?
Clearly he’s back in medlab on LV426, but were they just going to leave him behind?
I can’t believe I just noticed this.
Sidenote: the 12-year-old boy in me is giggling that this post about the weird, sexual body horror of the Alien franchise is my 69th post.
