The Weekend! (22-Sep-25) - Our Geek This Week

That’s a big sandwich!

More subdued this weekend, but that’s what we needed.

Friday: Worked late due to a big acquisition coming down the pipeline, but then chilled for the evening by watching The Studio and The Paper while enjoying a… sandwich. I tried to watch Superman on HBO MAX after Shalee went to sleep, but found it less entertaining that I had in the theater, but that said, that may have had something to do with the sandwich we enjoyed.
Saturday: Pickleball in the morning to get my Heart Points in (249/250, close enough!) before some household chores, reading, and a nap. Then we were off to Perrin to meet some lifelong friends when we discovered that they were closed for their “Backyard Bash,” so we pivoted to The Mill Creek Tavern instead. After two hours of stories, laughter, and catching up, Shalee and I went home to watch B1G After Dark where MSU played USC at 11:00 PM; we almost made it to halftime before we fell asleep, but MSU lost, so no highlights. ☹️
Sunday: Made sure not to set an alarm and slept until I felt like it, which, sadly, was only until about 8:00 AM-ish, but still, I didn’t use an alarm! Mostly a chill day with some light housework, record organizing, and watching the Fever defeat the Aces in the WNBA playoffs!

This weekend was more relaxed, which is good, because we have been traveling a lot the last several weeks, but we still got to see awesome friends and enjoy our time together. That’s yet another win, in my book!
