Everything I Know About Self Publishing - This is a very good article that I am posting here as a way for me to remember that I read it and come back to it if/when there comes a need to publish something myself. I’m a writer, I have to write things down, I mean waves arms around, but the problem is that I don’t currently get paid to write. Maybe one day I’ll have to forge my own path.
Developer Unlocks Newly Enshittified Echelon Exercise Bikes But Can’t Legally Release His Software - Enshittification rears its ugly head again. If I buy something, I own it, and software should not reduce the functionality of something I have purchased. IMHO, fuck Echelon.
Analog to Digital Process - I am…intrigued. I love writing on a typewriter. Hell, even when I type up the copy for my various blogs I often use “Courier New” or some other font that looks like I’m typing on a piece of paper, but to actually type out a blog entry before creating a digital copy? Like I said, I am intrigued, but also, isn’t that kind of crazy? I respect the effort, regardless.
Just Like Stuff - This is a mantra that I really should commit to myself because though I do not consider myself a troll (then again, what troll does?), I do sometimes like to stick it to people online that I find to be intelligently inferior but also confident in their naivete (I think we know what kind of red-hatted people I am talking about), but when I reflect upon my actions I often think if I should just leave well enough alone. But then again, silence in the face of oppression is acquiescence, so, as you can see, I’m torn.
What Happened to Cameron Crowe? He Has Answers. - I admit that I had kind of forgotten about Cameron Crowe despite some of this films being all-time favorites of mine, but yeah, he just seemed to have kind of disappeared for a while, or rather, that’s what I perceived. Clearly that’s not the case.
